We would like to inform you that the fee for extending Medicare Insurance to family members can be financed with a 20% tax credit through the Medicare Health Fund (Medicare Egészségpénztár).

Medicare Insurer offers a discount for those who pay the insurance premium through Medicare Health Fund, so there is no need to calculate the fund’s fees when making the payment.

The cost of Medicare insurance can only be settled through Medicare Health Fund, so it is worth becoming a member of Medicare Fund even if you are already a member of another fund.

• 20% tax relief: after payments, in the amount of up to 150,000 HUF in one year, so if a service is not covered by the insurance, it is recommended to settle them through the Fund;
• 5% discount on the extension fee* for customers who pay the insurance fee through Medicare Health Fund. Only a one-time entrance fee* (2,000 HUF) is incurred as an additional cost if you are not yet a member of the Fund. Example of the amount of savings:

*The one-time entrance fee of 2,000 HUF is payable for members of the fund; even if several family members are involved, it is taken into account only once, and the entrance fee does not have to be calculated for the next payment.

There is no age limit and no limit on the number of people: the following other discounts are also available to relatives who are not/cannot be included in the family extension through the fund member – e.g. parents, grandparents, siblings:

• 10% Medicare discount on the price of certain medical examinations and optical purchases;
• Free annual dental screening at Medicare Dentistries;
• Free vision screening at Medicare Optics;

Documents to be submitted:

1. Entry Form (please attach: a copy of your identity card and residence card, and do not forget to indicate your family members to be included in the insurance as eligible for services)

2. Authorisation form to pay the fee to the Insurer from the Fund’s individual account;

3. Accession form, if you want to use the extension for your close family members as well.

(Close family members who have already been involved do not need to fill out the declaration again.)

4. Send the forms and copies of the necessary documents to the Fund:

• In case of online entry, only the Authorisation and Accession Forms must be submitted
• electronically, after AVDH authentication, to avdhugyintezes@medicareep.hu , or
• hand it in at any Medicare Reception in a sealed envelope, or
• send it by post to Medicare Egészségpénztár 1134 Budapest, Váci út 29-31.

5. Payment to Medicare Health Fund

The amount of the insurance fee – increased by a one-time entry fee of 2,000 HUF in case of a new member – must be transferred to Medicare Egészségpénztár 12001008-01667874-00100002
